Typescript, spiral bound volume, containing a transcription of a manuscript diary of two women who went on a 5000 mile car
trip, in a 1920 Ford touring car they called Henry, to visit the national parks including Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone,
Glacier, and Crater Lake. The diary also includes color reproductions of their original receipt for the car, a map with their
route outlined in green, decals from sites they visited or traveled, newspaper clippings, and numerous photographs of the
women and scenic views along with the original manuscript notations. Includes one computer disc containing files of scanned
images of each page of the original diary, and pages from a second diary (not transcribed) titled, "Further Wanderings of
Flick and Sally this time with Henry II across the continent from San Francisco to Boston, 1924."

Margaret "Flick" Elfick, from London, England, and Sally Osborn, from Boston, met on a train crossing the country to San Francisco
and spent the rest of their lives together. Sally Osborn was the secretary to several mayors of San Francisco, California.
